Francophone Film Festival: 'Happening'

The annual Francophone Film Festival at Augustana will screen a film each Thursday from Feb. 16-March 16.

Tonight's film is "Happening," an adaptation of Annie Ernaux's novel of the same name, looking back on her experience with abortion when it was still illegal in France in the 1960s. 

It was selected to world premiere in competition at the 78th Venice International Film Festival in 2021, where the film won the Golden Lion. 

Runtime one hour, 40 minutes; for ages 18 and above.
