Augustana College scholarships in art history

Augustana offers scholarships for students with demonstrated high school achievement and potential in art history. The scholarships will be $2,500 per year, renewable to include four years of study ($10,000 total).

Eligibility

Applicants must rank in the upper 25 percent of their graduating high school classes, and express a commitment to major in art history while at Augustana College. In addition, students should have evidence of an outstanding academic record.

Application

Students wishing to be considered for an art history scholarship need to submit the following by March 30: 

1. Application for admission through the Augustana Office of Admissions

2. A letter of intent, including a sample of a high school research paper to:

3. Two letters of recommendation (from high school teachers) sent directly to the art history department.

Selection

Top applicants will be invited to the Augustana campus for interviews with faculty and representatives of Admissions. Award decisions will be made by April 15.

For continuation of scholarships, students must declare an art history major by the end of their sophomore years, and maintain a 3.50 GPA each academic year in all art history classes.
