Baroque music lecture and recital
Instructors and students will use voice and cello to demonstrate the forms and techniques required for music from the Baroque period.
Janina Ehrlich, professor of music, teaches cello students, and Michelle Crouch, adjunct assistant professor, instructs voice students. They will add commentary to the performance to help the audience gain a greater appreciation for and understanding of the music.
The Baroque period dates from about 1600-1750 and includes well-known composers such as Bach, Handel and Vivaldi.
