Climate Change: Science, Skepticism, and Sustainable Development
Augustana's Dr. Michael Reisner will participate in a conference and panel discussion, “Climate Change: Science, Skepticism, and Sustainable Development," for the Whiteside Forum.
He is an assistant professor of environmental studies and director of the Upper Mississippi Studies Center at Augustana. His topic will be “Science and Sustainable Development.”
Other speakers and panelists include:
• Billy Lynn – “Environmental Economics and Climate Change Doubt.” Lynn is professor of economics at St. Ambrose University.
• Teresa Cushing – “Industrial Environmental Stewardship.” Cushing is former enterprise technology manager for Caterpillar Inc. and is now senior project manager for Highlander Innovation.
• Jennifer Walling – “Environmental Policy.” Walling is executive director of the Illinois Environmental Council.
The Whiteside Forum, established in 1985, is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit community group that sponsors presentations and discussions of issues of importance and interest to the public.
