Penguin Project: Beauty and the Beast Jr. sold out
All performances of The Penguin Project of the Quad Cities show "Beauty and the Beast Jr." are sold out.
The show is a collaboration between Augustana College and the Center for Living Arts in Rock Island.
Established in 2004, the Penguin Project has evolved into a national program. Its goal is to provide an opportunity for children with special needs to develop creative skills related to the theatre arts.
Roles are filled by young artists with developmental disabilities. They are joined on stage by a peer mentors who have volunteered to work side by side with them through rehearsals and the final performances.
