Women's Lacrosse Clinic
The Augustana women’s lacrosse players and head coach C.J. Durham will host a lacrosse clinic on campus for high school-age student-athletes. The clinic will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
The clinic will include skill specific stations and there will also be a goalie coach on site to work with any goal keepers in attendance. In the final hour of the clinic the participants will break down into three-on-three and four-on-four small game scrimmages. There will be prizes given throughout the day.
Stations will include various aspects of lacrosse, such as, the draw, defensive body positioning, midfield defense, sliding, successful clearing, dodging/shooting and many more situations. As well as working with the Augustana coaching staff, students will also have to opportunity to meet some current team members and work with them one-on-one throughout the day.
Campers are invited to come early and watch Augustana’s team conduct a practice from 9-10:30 a.m. There will also be a free recruiting seminar at 3 p.m., following the clinic for students to learn about the recruiting process (in general for all Divisions) and ask questions.
