#Enough! National School Walkout

Augustana Student Government Association and a group of faculty members will sponsor an event in conjunction with #Enough! National School Walkout.

The event calls for students, teachers, school administrators, parents and others to take part in 17 minutes to encourage legislation to end gun violence. That's one minute for each of the victims of the Parkland. Fla., school shooting Feb. 14. 

A formal program starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until 10:17 a.m. in every time zone. At Augustana, pastors Richard Priggie and Kristen Glass-Perez will offer a prayer/reflection and SGA representatives will discuss how to get politically engaged. There will be brief remarks, poems, stories, quotes and moments of silence.

Those attending will be able to register to vote.
