Senior Inquiry presentations: Laura Bergren and Samuel Langellier

Theatre arts majors Laura Bergren and Samuel Langellier will give their Senior Inquiry presentations.

Bergren is from Geneseo, Ill., and also is majoring in English. Her presentation is entitled "The Evolution of the A," an in-depth look at the beginnings of a dramaturgical casebook for two sister plays and their classic origin story, "The Scarlet Letter."

Langellier is from Normal, Ill., and also is majoring in Classics. His presentation is entitled "A New Version of Medea."

His description: "Bringing together the disciplines of theatre and classics, the framework of Euripides' famous play is brought into a modern context by layering on aspects of modern military and the travel ban. The exploration of this topic is meant to lead into the development of a new play."
