Tartuffe

A classic comedy by French playwright Moliere, "Tartuffe" was banned by King Louis XIV shortly after it was performed in 1664. The play's portrayal of a con man who pretends to piety in order to swindle a family outraged the religious establishment in France.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13-15, and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 16.

Directed by Jeff Coussens, Augustana professor of theatre arts.
