American Scandinavian Association smörgåsbord
The American Scandinavian Association will host its annual meeting and dinner with a program entitled "Carl von Linné: Genius of Uppsala," presented by Janet Moline, retired environmental science educator.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with a period of social time and punch followed by a buffet dinner at 6 p.m.

Access the Gerber Center from 7th Avenue and 34th Street. Park in Faculty/Staff lot J (parallel to 34th St.).
Program description
Across the world are common names for living things in the language of that country. Linnaeus devised a system for living organisms to have a scientific name with a genus and species that are known world-wide. How did Carl von Linné become Linnaeus?
