Visiting lecturer: Liam Russell '21

Liam Russell '21 will give a talk on a multidisciplinary topic within the field of biophysics, titled "Computational Techniques for Quantifying Epithelial Morphogenesis during Drosophila Gastrulation and Axis Elongation."

Russell graduated from Augustana College in 2021 with majors in physics and chemistry and a minor in math. He is in the third year of his Ph.D. in the Molecular and Cellular Biophysics program at the University of Denver. He joined the biophysics group at the University of Denver since his coursework was a good match for the needs of their research group. His work is in the area of fluorescent microscopy and computational image analysis.
