Apply for the Geifman Prize by April 5
In Nazi Germany in the 1940s, the murder of millions of men, women and children was legal. These victims included Jews, religious leaders, political activists, LGBTQ, Roma and people with disabilities.
To honor the victims of that genocide and never forget the meaning of the Holocaust, The Center for the Study of Judaism and Jewish Culture is pleased to announce the Geifman Prize in Holocaust Studies. This is an annual competition for Augustana students with awards up to $500. (See past winners.)
Submissions may take the form of an essay, research paper, short story, poem, reflection, drama, film, photography, artwork, musical composition or other creative expression. Past winners may submit new work. Faculty members of The Center for the Study of Judaism and Jewish Culture serve as adjudicators.
The deadline for submissions is Friday, April 5, 2024, at 5 p.m.
