Augie Acres planting party rescheduled for May 4-5

Join the Augustana Local Agriculture Society at Augie Acres (3219-3221 6th Ave., Rock Island) on Saturday, May 4 (10 a.m.-12 p.m.) and Sunday, May 5 (1-3 p.m.) for a planting party! The group will do spring planting in the main plot and raised beds and will continue landscaping the garden. No experience is required to help.

Note: This event was originally planned for April 28; it been rescheduled to May 4-5.

About the Augustana Local Agricultre Society

The Augustana Local Agriculture Society contributes local organically grown food to the college and community by cultivating diverse varieties on Augie Acres, a student-run, urban farm. The club promotes ecological citizenship, experimental thinking and community. The group meets every Sunday at Augie Acres. For more information, contact augieacres@augustana.edu.
