Augustana Symphonic Band to tour East Coast in March
The Augustana Symphonic Band, directed by Dr. James Lambrecht, will tour the East Coast in March. The ensemble will perform in three cities from March 24-28, then conclude with a home concert on April 5.
The tour kicks off at Zion Church of the City of Baltimore, Adlersall (Eagle's Hall) in Baltimore, Md., with performances following at The Church of the Epiphany in Washington, D.C.; Church of the Holy Trinity in Philadelphia, Penn.; and a final performance at Augustana's Centennial Hall. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public. A free will offering will be accepted.
The Augustana Symphonic Band, which performs music of the highest artistic quality written for the wind band, was established in 1874. In addition to recent tours in the Midwest in 2024 and Japan in 2023, the band has performed in the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain.
