1964

Fred Whiting retired from the Lansing, Mich., school district as director of elementary and secondary education.  

1965

Ed Morse published a book, "Water Rich: The History of Drinking Water in Wisconsin." 

1971

Stephen Frink has had a long and distinguished career in underwater photography and dive industry journalism. He is the publisher of "Alert Diver" magazine for the Divers Alert Network.

1976

Mark D. Johnson was awarded the Swedish Geological Society’s Hjulström prize in Sedimentology. He is docent and university lecturer at the Department of Earth Science, Gothenburg University.

1978

Gregg Cornilsen retired in September 2021 from the Clinton Community school district after 37 years of service, including the last 20 years as the director of plant services.

1983

Jeff Kampf retired after 33 years as director of the X-ray Crystallography Facility, Department of Chemistry, University of Michigan.

1984

Brad Lampe has joined the faculty of Central College in Pella, Iowa, as a lecturer of music.

1987

Michael Danenberg completed a 30-year U.S. Navy career on July 1, 2021 at the rank of CAPTAIN/O-6. He returned to work as a civilian contractor ER physician at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.

Carol Street married David Fretwell in Panama City, Fla., on May 28, 2022, where they currently reside  After 33 years with Allstate, she will retire in November.

1988

Christine Suchocki Gismondi was promoted to director at Sikich, a public accounting firm headquartered in Naperville, Ill.

1990

Mark Richardson will moderate the Cap Times Power Breakfast series for the Capital Times, Madison, Wis. He is the president of Unfinished Business Consulting and CEO of GigBlender.

1995

Eric Kalnins moved to Naples, Fla., to establish a branch office for his Chicago-based law firm, Handler Thayer, LLP. His firm practices in the areas of business structuring, estate planning, tax and the family office market.

1998

Jordan Stoner presented "How Ted Lasso Helps Us Lead the Scaled Agile Change at Lockheed Martin: A Tale of Servant Leadership," at the 2022 Scaled Agile Summit, using quotes and themes from the show as an analogy for the Agile transformation at Lockheed Martin. The Scaled Agile Summit is one of the leading conferences dedicated to the process of Agile software development.

2002

Jonathan Ireland was named senior vice president of finance for United Airlines.

2004

Kelly Thompson married Matthew Collier in July 2021. She is vice president of grantmaking and community initiatives with the Quad Cities Community Foundation and was named one of the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2022.

2005

Matthew Nicol joined the Mississippi Valley Workforce Development Board, Operations Chair in 2020. He was also appointed to Gov. Kim Reynolds’ State Workforce Development Board and Youth Committee Chair. He has been broadcasting the Augustana football games online since 2019, and last spring added baseball as well. He recently joined the QCSportsNet.com broadcasting team for Western Big 6 high school football games, and he is a coach with the Young Guns Wrestling Club, novice division.

Timothy La Brie is the assistant principal at Little Fort Elementary in Waukegan, Ill.

John and Chantal Milem Irish had a daughter, Penelope June Irish, on Nov. 8, 2021 (their third child). John is an interventional radiologist in Peoria, Ill.

2009

Craig Peterson opened a dental practice with his sister in Camanche, Iowa.

2012

Emily Beatty is director of human resources, commercial sales, at KeHE Distributors, Wholesale Food and Beverage, Naperville, Ill.

2013

Jennesa Miller Atherton is head of clinical affairs at Bloom wellness and fitness services, New York, N.Y.

Jessica Roche Dittmer welcomed a daughter, Juliette, in August 2022.

Amelia Garza is the diversity, equity, and inclusion manager at the Alzheimer’s Association, Chicago.

Eric Pease is a pediatric psychiatrist at Mayo Clinic. He recently completed his residency and child and adolescent fellowship, also at Mayo Clinic.

2014

Paul Kleinhans-Schulz was named general manager of the Quad Cities River Bandits, a minor league baseball team of the Midwest League. The team is a High-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

Bailey Englund graduated in May with a Master of Science in Public Health from Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.

Henry Roderick is a visiting assistant professor of art at Augustana. He received his M.F.A. in graphic design from Maryland Institute College of Art in May.

2018

Michael Hickey is a senior category merchandising manager, performance seating, at HNI Workplace Furnishings, Muscatine, Iowa.

2019

Aaron Hanania is the social media manager at The Quad City Magician.

2020

Rachel Boakye is a master’s candidate at the School of International Service at American University and an intern at the U.S. Department of State.

Sandra Camarillo is a business development associate with U.S. Soccer, Frisco, Texas.

Christian Elliott is an audio storytelling intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, producing season 5 of Curious Universe, NASA's flagship podcast.

Brooke Keegan is a business teacher and sophomore volleyball coach at Hall High School in Spring Valley, Ill. She earned a master's in business education from Roosevelt University.

Larsen Harvey is a UI/UX designer at Q-Centrix, Chicago.

2021

Matt Mosele is a claims specialist in property for State Farm, Bloomington, Ill.

Satvik Sirohiya is in the master’s program in business analytics at the University of Illinois, Chicago. 

Maria Wood is pursuing an M.A. in public history and an M.S. in library and information science at St. John's University in Queens, N.Y.

Cole Bathje is the community engagement manager for Rockford Promise, a scholarship program for graduates of Rockford (Ill.) Public School District 205.

Olivia Doak is a reporter for the daily NewsTribune in La Salle, Ill.

Andrew Mayszak is a graphic designer and project manager at Blooming Color, Naperville, Ill.

Amy Nicholson is a graduate assistant at Center for Coastal Resources Management, Gloucester Point, Va.
