Parking permits for 2024-2025

Parking permits can still be purchased for the 2024–2025 school year. All returning students are encouraged to purchase their parking permits prior to returning for the fall semester. In August, parking permit sales open up to first-year and transfer students. At that time, parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis for ALL students.

If you have already purchased a parking permit, please check your Augustana email for your receipt. If you have not received a receipt but sent in your parking form and payment, please email Trisha Hines-Morrison.

Who needs to purchase a parking permit?

Any student who wishes to park in a campus owned parking lot/area is required to have a valid parking permit.**

  • Residential parking lots/spaces at 11th Ave Flats, Andreen, Andy/Bart, Arbaugh, Erickson, Naeseth, Parkander North & South, Seminary, Swanson, Westerlin, and TLA houses/apartments.
  • Commuter students who wish to park in a campus parking lot designated for commuter parking. 
  • Seniors living off campus are considered commuter students and may purchase a commuter permit. 

**Parking permits are assigned by availability, not by student preference. Parking lots are assigned by housing assignment. Augustana will place students in the closest available spot at the time of purchase.

How to purchase a parking permit

All returning students should have received a parking packet in the mail in June. If you did not receive a parking packet or no longer have it, please print off the Vehicle Registration Form and mail it in with payment to: (do not email the form)

You may also purchase your parking permit in person at the Facilities Services office in Sorensen Hall.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 
After hours: There is a locked drop box on the door to the right of the office window. There are forms and envelopes on the counter next to the door. Please put your completed form and payment in an envelope and put it in the locked drop box. You will get a receipt the next business day.

Full year (Sept. 2024-May 2025): $230.00
Fall semester only (Sept. 2024-Dec. 2024): $130.00
Partial fall semester (7 weeks): $75.00

Parking permit pick-up

Note: No permits will be mailed to students.

Where: The Facilities Services office in the basement of Sorensen Hall 
When: Permit pick-up will begin on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024

Monday, Aug. 26 through Friday, Aug. 30: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Move-in Weekend pick-up
Saturday, Aug. 31: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 1: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 2: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

What if I am arriving prior to the pick-up dates?

If you are arriving to campus prior to Aug. 26, you may park on campus without being ticketed with the exception of the following:

  • Fire lane violations
  • Handicap spaces
  • Reserved parking spots
  • Reserve parking lots
  • Parking on the grass
  • Blocking sidewalks/drives

Any of the listed parking violations are enforced 24/7, regardless of school being in or out of session.
