Don't Cancel Class!
Resources and alternatives
Presenting at a conference? Attending a national meeting? Don’t cancel class. Call us instead! We are also happy to address your class even when you are available. We ask two weeks' notice for most presentations. If you are sick or are unexpectedly unable to teach your class, consider assigning one of Treadway Library’s Interactive Tutorials on finding library resources or research guidance. The takeaway: your class can be put to any number of good uses!

Thomas Tredway Library
Make it a Research Day at Thomas Tredway Library!
Presentations available:
- Contact your library liaison to reserve a library space for students to use during the class session. Students can work on a class research project – with librarians nearby to offer individual research help as needed -- or you can create a new activity that students complete during that day.
- Don’t forget Tredway’s interactive tutorials available. Having students complete the online tutorial is another great way to develop their research skills. Are we missing a research skill you would like your students to refine? Contact your liaison librarian!
Request a presentation:
Note: Two weeks’ notice and faculty attendance needed for formal instruction, but space reservations (no instruction) can be made up to a few days prior. (Assign the online tutorials anytime!)
