Augustana College invites local governments and nonprofits to share their biggest problems, and the college will bring the students, faculty and expertise to help solve them. Applications are due Nov. 15, 2025.

Empen '26 named Lincoln Academy student laureate

Augustana College senior Ian Empen, a double-major in geography and psychology from Rock Island, was named a student laureate by The Lincoln Academy of Illinois. Student laureates are seniors who have excelled in curricular and extracurricular activities during their college careers.

Augie NAMI is nationally recognized for its hard work

Augie NAMI, Augustana College's student-led mental health club, is receiving national recognition for promoting mental wellness among students. Members of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) staff said they have noticed the growth of Augie NAMI over the years and wanted to feature the club experience in a promotional video.

Spotlight on Stacy Barton

By the time they complete Associate Professor and Film Program Director Stacy Barton’s Crew Production class, Augustana film students are 100% trained to be production assistants. They have experience that can help build up the film industry in the Quad Cities and Illinois, or wherever their creativity, unique voice and skills lead them.

Frieze Lecture: 'Death and the Anthropologist'

Dr. Adam Kaul, professor of anthropology, will present "Death and the Anthropologist."

This year’s Frieze Lectures will consider subjects related to death, dying and mortality through four distinct lenses: anthropology, art, poetry and psychology.
