Chris Morales

Teaching Fellow Instructor of Religion

Chris Morales studies the history of Christian thought, modern philosophy, and economic and political theory. His work explores questions concerning human flourishing and the sources of meaning in the modern world.

His dissertation explores Ralph Waldo Emerson’s influence on Friedrich Nietzsche and Martin Heidegger through their work on the ethics and politics of friendship. He is currently developing a project on loneliness, isolation and authoritarianism. 

Besides his academic work, he enjoys weightlifting and running with his dog, Emerson.
