Who helped you get to where you are now?

Dr. Heidi Storl, Dr. Deke Gould and Dr. David Ellis.

Peak experience?

An independent study on history in Berlin, Germany.

What surprised you?

How awesome the philosophy department is.

How did you use your Augie Choice?

I used it to travel to Germany for my independent study and to work with Dr. Heidi Storl and Dr. Ian Harrington to study neurophilosophy.

What will you miss the most?

The one-on-one conversations with the professors. They always give more insight than they can in class and point me in unique directions to pursue my interests.

Advice for the Class of 2029?

Don't live in Andreen, take a philosophy class and don't fear changing your mind.

"I first met Morgan as a sophomore in an ethics class I teach. From moment one, she was on my radar as a student with a philosophical knack. She brought an edge and a curiosity that drive some of our best liberal arts-oriented students. During the next two years, Morgan did deep dives into the disciplines of philosophy and history, and now routinely grapples with controversies that arise in the history of ideas. Morgan works for the betterment of that which is, and will continue to hold those with whom she interacts accountable to the same high standards of human decency that she holds for herself."

– Dr. Heidi Storl, professor, philosophy
