Viking Connections: Allessandra West
Allessandra West is an orchestra director at Metea Valley High School in Aurora, Illinois. She works with high school students each day in an ensemble and small group setting. She also teaches an after-school group that plays pops and movie music, as well as student arrangements. She is one of the Tri-M advisors and also teaches a music production course.
"I want to help answer any current student’s questions about teaching music or life after Augustana. I can also offer advice on how to balance your own career as a musician with a teaching career."
