Viking Connections: Laura Lewis

Laura Lewis

Laura Lewis provides occupational therapy services to children. She works primarily in the NICU helping premature and other medically complex infants with feeding/swallowing and development. She also works in the PICU and outpatient settings within the hospital helping children recover from injury or illness. Additionally, she provides therapy services to pregnant and postpartum patients. She teaches lectures in the OT school, and has the opportunity to be involved in research and quality improvement projects at the hospital.

"As a college student, it can be challenging to find mentors in the therapy field, and I hope to make information about the profession and getting into/choosing a graduate program accessible. I am well connected in the profession, and am a skilled listener to help students process their hopes and goals."
