Augustana holds second annual robotics competition

Seven teams from Augustana College, Knox College and St. Ambrose University went head-to-head in the second annual Augustana Invitational Robotics Challenge in early May. Teams from Augustana won first and third place, while a St. Ambrose team took home second.

All-campus retreat

Augustana faculty and staff are invited to an all-day retreat, beginning with a continental breakfast.

The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. After a program of speakers and reports, lunch will be provided for all employees.

Fall Symposium Day

Fall Symposium Day is an alternative day of learning that includes presentations by faculty, students, staff, alumni and invited speakers. This day has a rotating theme connected to Augie Reads.

Examination of drones wins Ethics Contest

Anne Hopkins, a senior majoring in business administration, is the winner of this year's Ethics Essay Content. Her essay is entitled "Ethical Debate on Drones." 

Bikes, the Chicago fire department and Augustana

During the course of this school year, Augustana faculty members donated another 33 bikes to a program run by Fire Engine Co. 16 in one of Chicago’s poorest neighborhoods. On June 6 at a special event, those bikes, along with several hundred more, will be given to students who have had perfect or near perfect attendance and good records in school.
