Thanks to Shelby Olson ’79, five students got the chance to be Augustana's first attendees at a national three-day seminar, "Preparing Women to Lead." It was an eye-opener for all, and for one student, at least, a career-changer.

Passionate Augie orchestra conductor is going places

 If you see Daniel Chetel strolling the Augustana College campus, you’d be forgiven for thinking he’s a student. The boyish 34-year-old  embodies the artistic drive and passion of many of his students. And as conductor of the 75-member Augustana Symphony Orchestra, Chetel literally is going places.

Augustana board approves $3.5M Brodahl expansion

The Augustana College Board of Trustees has approved a $3.5 million expansion of the Brodahl Building to accommodate the college’s new master’s degree program in speech-language pathology.

Round-robin letter delivers for 60 years

Five 1958 alumnae of Chi Omega Gamma have kept their friendship alive for 60 years, in part via a round-robin letter in circulation all these years.

Inclusivity Rally

The Gender and Sexuality Alliance will hold an Inclusivity Rally on the Quad in front of the Slough. The rally will feature performers and speakers from campus, including Pastor Priggie and the Jenny Lind Choir.

Augustana's Be The Match chapter is hosting an informational meeting for those interested in being a volunteer. Be The Match is a registry for people to join in order to help save the lives of those who require blood stem cell transplants.

Newcomb honored in 'new' Augie weight room

The strength room in the Carver Center at Augustana College is now state-of-the-art thanks to donations made to upgrade the space honoring former football coach Ben Newcomb.
