Reception and discussion: 'Race: Are We So Different?'

Augustana alumni, parents and friends are invited to an afternoon at the Putnam Museum to explore the museum’s new “Race: Are We So Different?” exhibition, followed by a reception and conversation. 

Student recital

Allessandra West, Sheila Doak, Sarah Anderson, Sabrina Tiangco, and Grayson Dixon from the Augustana Symphony Orchestra will perform for a recital.

Meet of Champions

Augustana College will host the Meet of Champions, an all-men's track and field meet.

Midwest Twilight Qualifier

Augustana College will host the Midwest Twilight Qualifier, a final qualifying track and field meet. Both men and women teams will compete. Field events begin at 4 p.m. and track events at 6 p.m.

Naperville alumni reception

Young alumni and their guests are invited to at a reception at the Red Arrow Tap Room in Naperville, Ill. Free appetizers will be served.

Honoring Black History dinner and film discussion

The Two Rivers YMCA will host Honoring Black History: A Community Film Discussion from 5-8 p.m.

Augustana's Dr. Lauren Hammond, assistant professor of history, will lead the discussion and the movie "Selma" will be screened.

Becoming American immigration film series coming to the Quad Cities

Becoming American: A Documentary Film and Discussion Series on Our Immigration Experience, an NEH program, is coming to the Quad Cities this spring. Becoming American is a six-week public program featuring documentary film screenings and moderated discussions designed to encourage an informed discussion of immigration issues against the backdrop of our immigration history.
