Dance for St. Jude
Martini Swingers will be holding a dance fundraiser for St. Jude from 5-7pm. Swing dance lessons will be provided and food donated by local restaurants will be available at the event.
Tickets will be sold in the Brew the week before the event.
Night Market
A Night Market will be held from 4-6pm in collaboration with the Vietnamese Student Association, the Asian Student Association, the African Student Association, the Black Student Union, Latinx Unidos, the Muslim Student Association, and the Augustana Local Agriculture Society.
Trivia Night
Star Wars Club will be hosting a trivia night. No Star Wars knowledge is needed, as it will be a general trivia game. There will be prizes for the winners and free pizza for everyone.
Internationali-T.E.A: Social Media as an Influencer
Augustana's Global Engagement Team Educational Programming Committee will host an Internationali-T.E.A. on the topic of "Social Media as an Influencer."
#SexEdCollegeEdition: Myths, Culture and Awareness
The final session in the #SexEdCollegeEdition series is "Myths, Culture and Awareness." A panel of student and faculty speakers will answer questions about sexual health, how it applies to our lives, and more.
Showing of "The Birth of a Nation"
The Student Government Association will be hosting a showing of "The Birth of a Nation." Following the movie, Sustained Dialogue will host a discussion on recent events regarding racial tension in the United States.
Shantytown
Habitat for Humanity will be hosting the event "Shantytown" to raise awareness about inadequate housing in the Quad Cities. Participants will build a cardboard shanty and enjoy music, food trucks, bags, and other activities.
Zombie Walk/Run/Shuffle
The Augustana Student-Medical Reserve Corps (AS-MRC) presents the Zombie Walk/Run/Shuffle.
Walk for Water
The Augustana Greek community will host a Walk for Water to raise funds for the people of Texas and Florida who do not have access to clean water due to the aftermath of hurricanes Harvey and Irma. All are welcome to participate.
