The making of a college pro

Nick Torres ’18 is a geology and environmental studies major with a passion for leadership, entrepreneurship and teamwork. Back home in Joliet, Torres is the owner of a College Pro Painters franchise, where he employs friends and other students to work on different projects. This year, Torres was listed among the Top 25 of 250 franchise owners for quality and customer service.

2017 Senior Art Exhibition: Artist talks

This exhibition features the Senior Inquiry projects of the Augustana College studio art and graphic design majors of the Class of 2017. These talks as a part of the Celebration of Learning will have three sessions: 10:30-11:30 a.m.; 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; 1: p.m.-2 p.m.

Augustana Dance Company Spring Performance

The Augustana Dance Company will feature pieces choreographed by members of the company, and will showcase a variety of genres including tap, ballet, hip hop and others.

It Begins with 'A'

It Begins with "A" is a day of activities to connect with students who have chosen Augustana, and those still deciding. Activities begin at 8:30 a.m. with an optional campus tour and end with an alumni panel at 2 p.m.

French Film Festival: "Breathless"

The 1960 crime drama "À bout de souffle" ("Breathless") will be shown as part of the French Film Festival. 

French Film Festival - "The 400 Blows / Les Quatre Cents Coups"

The Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures, the OSL, SLP & MPB will be showing "The 400 Blows / Les Quatre Cents Coups" by Francois Truffaut as part of the 2016 French Film Festival. 

Comedy Club: Adam Mamawala

Adam Mamawala is a stand-up comedian who is based in New York. He has perfomed in many of the country's top comedy festivals, competitions, and clubs. He makes use of accents and laughs at his own name, as means of diffusing and parodying stereotypes of South Asians.
