Augustana awarded $25,000 Teagle Foundation grant to support first-year course, faculty development
The Cornerstone: Learning for Living planning grant positions the college to apply for a Teagle Implementation grant, which could bring $150,000 or more to Augustana.
Five more Vikings named Academic All-Americans — 183 total
Five student-athletes — from hometowns in Illinois, Hawai'i, Texas and Tennessee — are the college's most recent Academic All-Americans. Now with 183 Academic All-Americans, Augustana ranks 14th among the NCAA’s 1,100 schools in DI, DII and DIII across the country.
Augustana selects Reynard Benschop to serve as director of Student Activities, Leadership & Engagement
Reynard Benschop will lead the college’s Office of Student Life and Leadership (OSL), which hosts events and experiences that complement Augustana’s classroom learning and leads the way in engaging students in campus life.
Augie Abroad Photo Contest 2023-2024 winners announced
Emma Watts '25 was the grand prize winner for the Augie Abroad photo contest for 2023-2024. The contest was open to all Augustana students who went on a study abroad trip or term between summer 2023 and spring break 2024.
Frere '26 named Augustana's 179th Academic All-American
This is the second consecutive year Augustana has been represented on an Academic All-American team. Charlotte Frere, a biology and kinesiology double major from Preemption, Ill., won the national DIII title this past season in the discus and has a 3.94 GPA.
