The Augustana College Department of Theatre and Film will present “The Mousetrap” Nov. 13-16 at the Brunner Theatre Center, located at 3750 7th Ave., Rock Island, Ill., on the Augustana College campus.

Performances will start at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13-15, and 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 16.

Associate Professor of Theatre Jennifer Popple will direct “The Mousetrap,” a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie, one of the world’s most beloved writers of murder and intrigue.

“A classic who-done-it, with some intriguing twists” is how Dr. Popple described the play.

“Agatha Christie always enjoyed presenting people who lived outside of the norms of the time with honor and respect, and this play is no exception. We are excited to present this classic with some of our own touches on it!”

"The Mousetrap” is the world’s longest-running play — or show of any kind — reaching 30,000 performances in spring of 2025. The play was first performed in The Ambassadors Theatre in London in 1952.
