Why I chose Augustana over a state school
Justin got into his dream school - a public university a few states over with the track team he always dreamed of being on. But after visiting, he realized that it wasn't the right fit for him.
There's always something to do at Augustana. More than 150 student organizations, interest groups, club sports, ensembles, honor societies, fraternities and sororities, and other groups are based on campus. If you don't find one to spark your interest, it's easy to start a new one.
The Office of Student Life and Leadership (OSL) hosts events and activities from different cultures, the arts, entertainment, educational programming and more.
OSID provides a base for all Augustana students to discuss diversity issues on campus and in the world, and to promote a campus culture that values people of all cultural, ethnic and racial backgrounds.
Augustana College is a welcoming home-away-from-home for all Augustana students. For international students, the Office of International Student Life provides a home base within this home-away-from-home.
Augustana's 14 Greek organizations all were founded at Augustana, some more than 100 years ago, and are autonomous. They are unique in name and charter, having no affiliation with any national Greek organization. Greek students make up about 40 percent of the student population at Augustana.
