Richard Edwards received the NASW (National Association of Social Workers) Lifetime Achievement Award.

1967

Alan Nabb was awarded the Arkansas Education Association Outstanding Citizen Award for 2024 for his presentations of the Arkansas U.S. Flag Education Program to more than 4,100 fifth- and seventh-grade students at 38 schools in Benton County, Arkansas, during the 2023-24 school year.

1969

Timothy Lomperis published his first novel, "The Three Lives of Kamala."

1979    

Matthew Lindquist retired from Serenity Health Psychiatric Services after 20 years as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

1980

Curtis Lawrence received the Chicago Journalist Association's Lifetime Achievement Award on Nov. 15, 2024. Lawrence worked as a reporter and editor at six daily Midwest newspapers, and was also an associate professor of journalism at Columbia College Chicago for nearly 20 years, advising the school’s student newspaper.

Kurt Heller retired on Sept. 27, 2024, after practicing dentistry for more than 40 years in Jacksonville, Ill.

Randy Tweet was selected to fill the vacant seat of Third Ward Alderman in Rock Island, Ill., and will serve in the interim until the April 2025 municipal election.

1981

Diane Uddenberg Sturek was promoted to Teaching Professor of Accounting at Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

1982

Kathy Wuchte Benoit retired on June 30, 2024, after 31 years with the Plano School District No. 88, as administrative assistant to the superintendent. In May 2024, she received the Illinois State Board of Education "Those Who Excel" Award for her volunteerism.

Janet Eddy opened a counseling/therapy office in Moberly, Mo.

1985

Tom Tallman has returned to WVIK Classical, hosting Jazz After Hours.

1986

Mark Pfister retired as the executive director and CEO of the Lake County Health Department on Sept. 3, 2024. 

1995

Susanne Larson Cass is a certified nutritionist and personal trainer, and owns two Snap Fitness 24/7 fitness centers.

2001

Emily Klehm is vice president of operations with the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. She is leaving her position at the South Suburban Humane Society after 17 years.

2002

Phil Kiraly was elected president of the Illinois City/County Management Association in July 2024.

2005

Joyce Meier married Steven Devine on June 15, 2024.

Jim Hallene '11 and Morgan Gale '12 Hallene had a son, Charles Alexander Hallene, on March 25, 2024 (Theodore, 5, and William, 2).

Laura Seeber married David Pearson on June 1, 2024.

Alex Gorsuch and Madeline Voss Gorsuch had their first child, Brooks, in September 2024.

Kristina Humphreys is pursuing a Ph.D. from Uppsala University in Sweden.

Kelly Wingerson Workman and Kyle Workman '19 had a son, Jasper Workman, on Dec. 28, 2023.

Natalie Wuest is an outreach and prevention specialist at Turning Point – Domestic Violence Services in Woodstock, Ill.

Mary Scarpinato was sworn in as an attorney by the Supreme Court of Illinois on Nov. 6, 2024.
