Augustana is more affordable than families may think. A bold financial aid program plus other grants and scholarships keep costs lower — often in comparison with large state schools.
Augustana engineering students presented final projects during the Spring 2026 Engineering Showcase. Under the direction of Dr. José Wilches, the event showed how students applied engineering principles to physical models and real-world design challenges.
Both Gaia Splendore and Leroy Gawu-Mensah were surprised and honored to learn they had won the Nils Hasselmo Award for Academic Pursuit. Inspired by the impact of his own Augustana experience, Dr. Nils Hasselmo '57 created the award to help future educators access professional opportunities.
“Participate” runs as a student-led program within Augustana’s Office of Student Life and Leadership, connecting students with community partners and volunteer opportunities across the Quad Cities.
Aine Moffit, a pre-med major from LeClaire, Iowa, chose Augustana because it offered her the opportunity to continue wrestling while staying close to home and pursuing strong academics. In the final bout of her collegiate career, Moffit made history for Augustana's five-year-old women’s wrestling program.
Augustana’s Upper Mississippi Center, directed by Dr. Michael Reisner, was honored with an award from River Action, one of the community’s most preeminent environmental groups.
The Augustana Chamber Orchestra will perform.
The Augustana Jazz Combos will perform, directed by Dr. Joel Linscheid.
Trained students from Augustana's Kinesiology program will conduct BodPod (body composition) tests from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
